The other morning, the kids woke up earlier than normal. Groaning in my bed, I realized that neither of them were crying or asking for anything. They were simply entertaining each other and laughing (such sweet sounds). I could hear Lucy say, "here Owen....here's a bear. And here's a book. And here's a giraffe, etc." So I let them be and jumped in the shower.
When I walked in their room a while later, I found every toy, shoe, and book we own, sitting in Owen's crib:

Along with Owen:

It felt like a Where's Waldo book and definitely made me laugh. Whatever keeps them happy! (and buys me 30 minutes of freedom).
hahahaha
ReplyDeleteand owen didn't complain?
i love the rag hanging out of his mouth
HA. funny. poor little owen...buried in an avalanche of child products. what a great way to start the day.
ReplyDeleteMy kids do this on a near-daily basis!
ReplyDeleteI am laughing so hard right now. That is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteBest thing I've seen all day. (And familiar too!)
ReplyDeletelol. that is so cute! love how owen has his blanket in his mouth among all the other options!
ReplyDeleteHow creative of Lucy, sort of like her Mama!
ReplyDeleteOwen didn't complain at all. He just sat there, check out his surroundings. Hilarious.
ReplyDeleteThat cracks me up. I love that last picture. Hilarious!
ReplyDeletethat's darling! it looks as if there was barely any room for Owen in there.
ReplyDeletesiblings are the best!
That is so cute and funny! What a sweet big sister! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL! That is so funny!! That makes me so excited for Weston to have a sibling someday (and for future sibling to have Weston). Your kiddos are adorable!
ReplyDeleteLove this. Totally know what you mean. Uneven as it seems, sometimes 30 min. of peace is worth the 45 min. of cleaning up later.
ReplyDeleteIs Owen in there in the first two pictures? And you know what's sad? My first thought was -- ooohhh, that would be a great time to vacuum! that should tell you what my kids' rooms look like.
ReplyDeleteLOL that is hilarious! What a sweetie Lucy is, she just wanted to share everything with her brother. SO cute!
ReplyDeletethat is the funniest thing I've seen all day. Awesome
ReplyDeleteI love it when the older children toss toys into the crib for the baby! Reed does it for Owen in the mornings sometimes, and Owen sometimes does it for Aiden during (unsuccessful) naptimes.
ReplyDeleteWe never get such spectacular results, however. Something about nearly all the toys being kept downstairs . . .
haha! cute. owen was probably so happy with all of his toys at easy access. it's cute that they just play in their room and crib. somehow i missed the memo on that one!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Alice would definitely get along with those two!
ReplyDeleteAWESOME picture!!! Hilarious!
ReplyDeleteLove it. My daughter did the same thing, and they always laughed and laughed and had a ball.
