This past week, Lucy has been a superstar at our house. She really impressed me.
She was potty trained by DAY 2! She hasn't had an accident since! The first day we went through 8 pairs of underwear. And since then, 1 pair a day. She tells me, "mom, I need to go potty"....and we go. She's even gone at the nasty park bathrooms a few times.

I was prepared for THE worst (poop on the floor, pee all over the couch). And though I know that kids can regress even months after they're trained, I just can't believe how easy it all was with her. The candy incentive helped. But overall I think she was just older and ready for it. We packed the little potty away this weekend and now she's only going on the big toilet.She's still wearing a pull-up at night, so we'll be tackling that one of these days. Thank you little lady for making my life a little easier!

ReplyDeleteI am SO happy for you, that is not common! That sounds like a fairytale potty training story right there, sweet though for you! I wish Marce would get potty trained. He's almost ready, I know it, just not quite commited. I envy you for the money you're saving on those dumb size 6 diapers...ENVY!

ReplyDeleteYou should be proud :) What a huge milestone...I'm sure it'll stick too, with no accidents. Usually once my kids get it, they get it...well, at least the girls...

ReplyDeleteI am all for potty training at 3 years--it worked for us with no accidents. It just seems like they're old enough to get it at that age.

That is so great! I haven't had a whole day to sit and do it with Jillian. I think I need to take some vacation time to make it happen for our little one. I am so happy for you and Lucy. Great job!!
