A while back
I posted about the glorious introduction of Coconut into the M&M family. Yum Yum. I'm open to new ideas. So I was really excited to hear that PRETZEL flavor is the new baby.

We bought a bag at Walgreens yesterday and I had high expectations. Chocolate, pretzels, what could be better?
Well....bummer.
They're not that great. Flavors are good; ratios are off. You'd think it was like a Whopper. But it was like a big old ball of dry air. I had cotton mouth afterward, needed a drink, and longed for a yellow package of Peanut M&Ms (good thing Casey bought one of those too)

So, they were good enough for me to eat well, the whole small bag. But man, they are NOTHIN like these:

A thin stick of pretzel with layers and layers of yummy chocolate coating. That's how it should be. Sorry M&Ms. Maye you should try Peanut Butter
inside of the pretzels. Now that would really have me coming back!
I'm so glad you're updating this blog! I'm really sad to hear that these M&M's were a bust. I love me some chocolate covered pretzels!! Let's chat soon!
ReplyDeleteI am also glad to see you alive on this blog too! I actually really liked the pretzel M&Ms. Never as good as peanut, but my second favorite.
ReplyDeleteI agree, they were definitely a swing and a miss. I much prefer the dark chocolate peanut ones....mmmm.
ReplyDeletei haven't tried these yet, because I know I will just never be able to live without them once I have them.
ReplyDeleteI was initially really excited for these, too! But you're right -- too much dry pretzel. Keep trying, M&M Mars!!
ReplyDelete(Do you remember Crispy M&Ms? They were my FAVORITE. But they're gone now!!!)
Glad you are back! And I couldn't agree more. I bought some the day they were putting them on the shelves in Seattle, and I have to concur, they are less than fab. I'll stick with my Hershey's chocolate covered pretzels. Yummers.
ReplyDeleteI so agree. We tried them a couple of months ago and were terribly disappointed. Glad to hear it wasn't just us! Ty liked them. Although he said they weren't a favorite, but he couldn't let them go to waste.
ReplyDeleteI was soooo disappointed in those m&ms. Pretzels and chocolate are my very favorite combination. So it seemed like a perfect match. I will stick to my Take 5 bars instead!
ReplyDeleteAgreed on the Pretzel M&Ms, and Sara (whoever you are), yes, love the Take 5. The Coconut M&Ms are actually pretty good in you only want a little coconut chocolate and not a whole Mounds...if you are a coconut person. You are or you aren't.
