The berry is back!
For the past 9 months, every trip to Trader Joes has included a glance in the dried fruit aisle to see if their Freeze-Dried Strawberries were back. When Lucy was 1 year old, that was pretty much all she ate (next to milk). I bought a tub or two each time we shopped at TJs. Then one day, they were extinct. Totally gone. And none of the workers knew when they'd be back. I kept telling myself, wait till next May when strawberries are in season. So, my sister-in-law Laura (who's daughter Ava loves the red treats too) and I decided to inform the other if we ever saw them again. And last night, I got the call! Laura was at TJs in HB and said she found them! Yay! They're in a different package but the same good strawberry yumminess: We went this morning and bought 4 bags. You never know when they'll be out of style again.

That is too funny! I do the same thing. I've been missing those yummy strawberries. They are a Fackrell family favorite. Thanks for the info. We'll be getting them next time we're there.
Sweet! I'm excited to try those. I hope my T.J.'s have them too!
Oh how I love Trader Joe's and miss it with every fiber of my being. Dried fruit, of any kind, even fruit leather, from TJ's is like heaven. Huzzah for the return of the strawberry!
You can order these online. Go to NutsOnline.com and check out all kinds of dried fruit. My favorites are blackberries, and soft puffy cranberries.
