Corn on the Cob
Most of you know, Lucy doesn't eat. So we were all surprised when she hopped up to the table at Grandma and Grandpa's house tonight and asked, "Grandma, what are you doing?"
"Eating corn on the cob. Do you want some?"
"Okay!"
She studied our methods of eating.
And even added all the right "mmmmm!"s and "yum yum"s as she ate.
But don't be fooled by those missing kernels. She never ate a thing but spent 10 minutes licking butter off the cob. We sure had fun watching her though. And as Grandma pointed out, major points for being adventurous and trying something new. Make next time she'll take a real bite.

I love this post. I remember Jacqueline at this age doing the same thing, but when she took a bite, holy cow, it was drama because there was something in between her teeth!! It was so funny though. So, we didn't continue to push the corn on the cob, we would cut it off for her, no fun I know, but saved our nerves and hers too I think!
