Nothin says California Summer like a bunch of wildfires. The perfect segue to our departure. Of course, Texas will have it's share of goodies too. What do they get there? Tornadoes? Hurricanes? Floods? I actually have no idea.

I saw some brownish grey in the sky in the LA direction and was wondering if there was a fire. Well, at least you probably had a pretty sunset...

oh admit it: you're going to miss waking up to a yellow-gray sky and neon orange sun! Nothing says summer like ash in your eyes and chewing your air.

We had a few Tornado warnings when we were in Texas. I think about 20 years ago a huge one ripped right through the middle of Lubbock and caused so much damage. It was always a little scary whenever there was a storm!
yuck...so glad I'm not there for this. Although, I guess will be back tomorrow.
