bitten
The one truly bad thing about living in Texas is....bugs; specifically....mosquitoes. Yuck. I've become a crazy woman in our house. If I see anything out of the corner of my eye buzzing around, I can't sit still till I smack that thing dead (and watch my own blood spill out. Gross). At any given time I have about 3 bug bites on my body. Right now there are 5 on my leg (I'll spare you those photos. Lucy's face is much cuter than my leg). We try to keep the screen doors closed and if I'm working in the garage, I spray repellent all over myself. But man, one pesky bug can make life horrible for the whole family....for a whole week. I'm hoping that with the cooler weather the bug craze will slow down. Cause poor Lucy could use a break.
Too much scratching:

Now I know what she'll look like as a teenager. Poor thing. THREE on her face. The reddest one right in the middle of her cheek:
Oh well, that's life.
At least she doesn't seem too bothered by it. How old is this little girl? She's really developing a natural smile for the camera.

I know I probably say this way too much, but your kids are some of the most beautiful little things I've ever seen. Really, it's ridiculous how cute they are.
BTW - You and Casey are so talented. Your house looks fantastic! I bet you are enjoying the added space!
when we lived in houston, we had mosquitoes until january. it was insane! good luck with em!
awww poor lucy [and family]. mosquito bites are NO fun. hopefully they'll go away soon since winter is coming...?
That is the cutest mosquito bitten face EVER! I am sorry about those mosquitos, I HATE those things. They seem to find me and eat me alive no matter where I am. I will remember this when we come to visit...bring LOTS of repelent it sounds like! =) I hope winter is better for you guys.
I hope TX is not like TN...we had mosquitos last winter too! My little boy is always covered with bites, no matter what we use to repel them. And he picks them over and over again.
Your house looks great!
We've been fairly fortunate...only a few bugs during the summer. It seems like people in the burbs have a bit more bugs than us, though.
It might be time for you to get a pest control service. :D
such a cute little girl. and its so sad to hear them complain about bug bites! poor kid.
and i'm lovin the new renovations! kudos to you guys for all that work! i'm sure it was messy and stressful, but it looks great! and what a nice hubby to bring you flowers- personally, i love flowers. sweet guy!
Oh, yuck. Ya, I wonder if they'll go away when the weather cools? Hopefully. Lucy looks miserable, as I'm sure you all are.
What a darling little picture of Lucy at the end of the post. You're right she does have a mature smile.
oh and btw, Jeremy asked if you guys were coming to dinner Sunday. : ( and then he asked about 3 more times when we'd see you next. He and Ava were missing Lucy and Owen. It was really cute.
she is just the cutest thing ever...bites and all
Awwwww, poor Lucy. I HATE mosquito bites. I remember coming home from Girls Camp one year literally c o v e r e d with them.
Hope bug season ends soon.
Awww, what a trooper! You're right, she's so cute no matter what, though!
death to mosquitos!
I hate those things!
OK so your really still not at church. I just kept thinking that your on a long vacation and I will quickly see your face and your well dressed kids running around town, it's a problem.
ouch. Poor Lucy! Poor Dana! I hope the cooler weather leaves you with some mosquito free nights!
That is so sad. Sorry. Mosquitos weren't as much of a problem for us in Texas as fire ants were. They were a bugger. And huge spiders. And chiggers. Ooh, those are awful because you can't even see them.
