Friday Night. Lights.
Last Friday we acted like locals; and enjoyed the lights.
Sadly when it comes to football, Georgetown High isn't much to speak of. I guess we're known for our Drama department. Haah. Poor Casey. So we headed south and cheered for Round Rock High. The high school is just walking distance from Casey's office.
It brought back many fun memories of going to my sister's high school games to watch her cheer and dance in the half time show. The game was great with the score pretty close the whole time. Of course I was super excited to see Kettle corn the minute we walked in.
And the kids enjoyed running up and down the ramps, watching the marching band, and well....

...teaching Cinderella the in's and out's of football (or baseball as Lucy kept calling it).
She and Prince even accompanied us to the bathroom.
Hooray for real Friday Night Lights.
Observations of a high school game:
Some players look like boys and some look like men,
Some players look like boys and some look like men,
the entertainment is cheesy but delivers,
there are plenty of old cowboys,
and plenty of stadium fixin's to compliment the evening.
It's fun to do things like Texans do. We'll be back!

This looks like so much fun! We have thought about going to a local HS football game. Maybe we should try it!
looks like so much fun. Kettle corn at a hs game too? Yeah, you're in Texas. We wanted to go support the local hs here, but it is always too dang cold! I don't remember that bugging me while I was in high school though!
Ok, you totally know what I first thought when I read the title.
That sounds like fun. Nate and I have often thought of going to a local HS football game with the kids. Maybe too late in the year.
I love that you guys find something fun to do no matter where you are.
You look good in black, I liked your sum-up, and my kids call most sports volleyball (because I actually play it when I can).
I have a good friend from Texas. She's always "fixin'" to do something, it's hilarious! I love it!
AWESOME! So many fun memories! Great pictures. And thanks for the cheerleading comment... fun times. Love the Lucy and Cinderella picture. And hilarious that the Prince and Cinderella followed y'all to the bathroom.
super jealous. I'd be even more jealous if you were in Dillon and it turned out FNL is actually a reality show and you met the entire "cast". Sigh.
Fun, fun, fun life you are leading--!
Was Riggins there?
Sigh. Dreamy. Greasy hair and all...
What a fun night!! great pics too :)
Funny, Jeff & I were just talking TONIGHT about starting to go to our local HS football games too! I am glad you are doing it, it has given us the push. Your pics always turn out sooo great! I am also glad Cinderella & Prince Charming made it to the game.
Yay!! I love football and I love getting into the local scene, so I would've enjoyed myself too. Oh my gosh I LOVE Lucy's coat!!!!!
awesome pictures! looks just like FNL the tv show :)
lucy's coat is so cute! and hey -- band is NOT cheesy!!! okay, maybe a little... ;)
I loved your picture of the old cowboy -- dude looked like a total stud.
So great that you guys went to a game! And Kettle Korn--are you kidding me?? That ROCKS!
