It's finally looking like Christmas
Last night I pulled out the Christmas decor. And guess what, we only used 5 items! See if you can find them....
1 tiny tree, 1 (fake) poinsettia, 2 stockings (made by my sister out of fabric from my wedding reception. so cool), and 1 mini nativity scene:
In a small living space, with far too many craft projects lying around, adding a slew of decorations feels way too chaotic and cluttered. So I kept it simple. And it still feels like Christmas!

Hooray Christmas decor! It looks great. We had to skip a bunch of our decorations this year, too, now that the dining room has become the office. Placing poinsettias on a computer desk piled high with papers and folders just doesn't seem to work. :-P
Seriously Jean, I couldn't agree more! (which is why we're being minimalists)
Not much space at Christmastime can be a real blessing. Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas, but it is possible to have too much of a good thing. I think your mantel is festive enough for a whole house.
I like that you only used a few items. I think that is what the season should be about simple and thoughtful.
