just an afternoon
We've been having gorgeous weather this week and since Owen woke up from his nap at a reasonable time for Kidspace (they close at 5pm), we headed over!
Owen discovered the new slide and couldn't have been happier:
We played with magnets. Owen threw them all on the floor....
And Lucy politely picked them up.
We played till they closed.
And then headed to the park next door:
where we chased birds:
and shared food with each other (this moment warmed my heart):
Lucy's favorite part of any Kidspace outing is the always the "k" stamp. Both kids need one for each hand.
Of course they usually end up on their faces too.
Lucy found a friend:
And we checked out the beautiful flowers:
In the words of Ice Cube, today was a good day. It's days like these that make it all worth it! (maybe this should have been my Mother's Day). Perfect weather, happy kids, fun at the park, and we finished off the evening with Chinese Chicken Salad, sourdough bread, and the LOST season finale.
More of today please!

Glad you had such a great afternoon!!
Ohhhh, they are too cute.
Ok, I think I figured it out. The dress your daughter is wearing is linen...hmmm... and it's a shirt dress...hmmm...your presser foot project? Am I right? It's gorgeous :)
We've been meaning to get to Kidspace. They are closed on Mondays which is a bummer b/c that is when my husband is sometimes off. Guess, I'll have to brave it on my own.
