Helene

I love taking pictures. And I love that my friends let me practice on their kids (since Lucy is pretty sick of seeing a camera in her face). I'm hoping when we get to Austin, I can take a photography class at the local college. I'd love to learn the real stuff. Until then.....

Meet Helene! (my friend Doris's sweet girl). Nothing better describes her than: a doll. She is such a sweetie. She loves to smile and seems content just kicking it, while chaos ensues around her.
If you ever want a behind-the-scenes of of my amateur photo-shoots....
Well, usually the other kids wander in to see what's going on:
and they all want to climb on the bed. At one point we had all five of them on the bed. Sadly, no shots of that. I must have been (trying to be) a good mom, making sure no one was going to fall off the bed and smack their head on the wood floor:
We were able to get some cute sibling shots out of it. Sammy with his (twin-ish) sister:
And with Hannah too:
But never with all of them in-focus. Oh well.
What cute kids! I'll miss snapping photos of you. I'll have to find new victims in Austin....

What cute kids! You did a great job w/the photography. You're really getting good. That would be fun to take a photography class. I had to take one as an elective in my school days and it was really interesting. I just took the one class, but would've liked to take more. I thought the most interesting part was learning to develop my own pictures. Actually, I just had a random memory......I was in the dark room developing pictures on the morning of September 11th and didn't know that it was all going on. It wasn't until an hour or so later when I came out of the room that I heard everyone talking about it.
