Saturday Night

Saturday night was our last Pasadena date-night hurrah. We started with yummy sushi at this place. Why have we only now discovered it? I highly recommend the Hungry Roll (spicy tuna, cream cheese, and tempura). And Casey's pick is the Salmon Tempura Roll (just what it says). Both delish. We were worried about the time crunch to get to our movie on time. But since we were the only people in the restaurant at 6pm, no worries! We seriously felt like Jerry's parents, getting the early-bird special at 4pm. Who eats at 4pm?

Next, off to the Laemmle theaters for our last taste of indie films (actually, we can prob find some indie stuff in downtown Austin). This was in front of us in line. He claims they're more comfortable than flip flops:
All I could say was, "J.J. Casuals.....shoes that look like feet."
If you need a moment of laughter, check out Andy Sandberg here (downloads into a wmv file, but that was the only place I could find it).

We saw the film Cold Souls with Paul Giamatti. A comedy with Giamatti playing his typical depressed, over-burdened self. Some really funny moments.
Done with the movie and ready for.....
.....dessert! Casey may miss this place more than I do. But I will be on the look-out for an Austin replacement.
As always, a night out alone with my husband is a wonderful treat. Something every married woman needs a little more of.

Yay!! You're so right - date nights are the best. I'm so excited for the world of date-night opportunities that will come with Austin. :-) Squeeze & Scoop -- YUM!!! Those weirdo toe shoes - not yum. :-)
