Best Sourdough

Casey and I have discovered our favorite sourdough bread at Vons. In fact, it's made by Vons! We've been trying various brands for a while and we think this is the yummiest.
Look for it in their fresh bakery section. The trick is to look at the "sell by" date. If the date is still 2-3 days off, it's bound to be fresh and baked that day. It's also best if light-colored and not too dark on top. Don't be fooled by picking up their other non-sourdough loaves though. They look similar but aren't as yummy.

Today for lunch I toasted a slice with tomatoes and mozzarella and parmesan cheeses on top. Yummy, cheesy, soft and toasty!

That looks delicious!! What a great lunch idea. I'll have to check out the sourdough at Vons now. Tim and I love getting sourdough samples at Disneyland, along with free tortillas!

Yum! That looks delicious! I threw out my sourdough starter. It was great at first, but started to be not as effective after a couple months. I fed it and took care of it, it just lost it's rising power.
