Hair
Six months ago when I first started blogging, I posted two pictures of Lucy that were taken 6 months apart, in the exact same outfit sitting in her highchair. It was so fun to see how much her hair had grown. In that same post, I said I would take another picture 6 months in the future, when she turned 20 months. And that day has arrived. So here are the pictures! I can't believe 6 months have gone by (and yes, she still fits in that same onesie. It's getting tight though). And the hair continues to grow! (you can see better if you click on the picture)
Lucy at 8, 14, and 20 months:Earlier this week some friends and I were discussing our little girls' hair. They all have the same fine/whispy hair that's grown into the mullet in the back. We were debating whether to trim up the back or not.
Then later during the week, Lucy and I were out driving when Bon Jovi's "You Give Love a Bad Name" came on the radio. I looked back and found her bouncing her legs to the beat while grinning out the window, the wind blowing her billowing mullet in every direction. I started laughing. She was still doing the same thing 30 seconds later. I decided then that yes, it was time to cut the hair (and to continue listening to Bon Jovi. I'm happy her heart is in the 80s!).
So we did it this morning! She wasn't into the cutting aspect (even with Elmo turned on) and acted like part of her body was being abandoned. But I worked quickly. Here's a before and after pic.
And here's what the hair looks like all dried. I have to admit, I miss some of her whispy curls. But I think in the long run, it will look better as the hair grows at the same length. Maybe she looks older? I still think she looks cute.

I love the cut. Great job! It definitely is hard to make that first cut but you will see how much quicker her hair grows!
Cute cut, she does look older. After all she is almost 2!!! I am terrified to cut Jillian's hair & cut out those cute curls. But, it is getting pretty wild, we may have to do something. That little lucy is such a cutie!
So cute--you did a great job!! I think it does make her look older. And I love the three pictures--cute idea!
Hi Dana, this is sherri. I decided that you need to come and cut Grace's hair. I'm too scared to do it! =)
That is a great cut! I am inspired to chop off my own, now.
Cute hair. I love the 3 pictures at the top. I think photos like that really give a fantastic perspective on just how much a child changes in such a short time.
Awe! Little Lucy looks so cute. Eric and I love the top three progression pics. It gives us some hope for Ava's hair! Her haircut looks really good. She does look older especially in the bottom left picture. Nice job.
Most adorable haircut ever. Can I bring Makenna to you? She is sporting a mullet as well!
I can not believe she still fits into the same onsie!! What a tiny thing she is!! And I LOVE the new haircut! It's hard to see the hair go, but it looks grrreaattt!
ok that is just the cutest thing! she doesn't look any different in those pictures except that her hair is longer! she's adorable!
and the new cute is way cute! great job! i didn't know you did hair!!
Those three 6-months apart pictures are great! It's so funny that she still wears the same shirt. I love her big-girl smile in the latest one. Her haircut looks great. It looks like you made a good decision. Way cute.
I know it's a completely different story for boys, but I wish I had cut Alexander's hair several months earlier than I did. It looked fine from the front where it was all new hair, but he had really long hair in the back that he was born with. I cringe when I see pictures of it!
She looks darling Dana! Sometimes I think a little "bob" but can make older people look younger, but it somehow makes kids look older...
She's a doll! Good luck with your little guy coming soon too!
Take care...
Cute! I can't wait until I can start giving Molly fun hair cuts. Little girls are so fun. Especailly, Lucy
She is such a little doll!! And your great at manipulating the photos to show off your skills!! You will have to show me someday how to combine the pics into one.
