RECIPE: Best tortillas and Quesadillas

Somehow I was totally behind in discovering these AMAZING uncooked tortillas. Seems that all my friends had heard of them. But if you haven't, then this post is for you! My mother in law introduced me and they are hands down, the best (excluding anything from Cafe Rio of course). They look like this:
And you can find them in the refridgerated section of Costco (don't be mistaken and look in the freezer section. I've done that and gone searching for 20 minutes.) You can store half of them in your freezer when you get home so they last longer.

Then, you just cook them up in your pan (no oil or extras needed). Wait till they puff up on one side:
Flip and watch it rise on the other side. Looks like Naan:
For a quesadilla, add cheese after cooking the first side:
And enjoy. This is (almost) a daily Lucy lunch in our house:

Love these! I've never gotten the bulk size at Costco though.
Homemade burritos taste so much better when using these (as do quesadillas, like you mentioned)

Ooh, I need to try these! I love me some quesadilla. We have a tortilla maker, but that's time-consuming because you have to make the dough. So instead, we've just been buying tortillas at the store. Warm, freshly baked tortillas (that are quick and easy) would be so good!!

Haha, Dana. In this case, you're sooo behind the times. :) We've been buying these from Costco for years! I do agree that they make some of the best quesadillas ever. :)

Yes, those are hands down the best tortillas (besides Cafe Rio). However, I always end up throwing away a bunch when I buy the bulk size. I found I don't really like the result after you freeze and defrost them. There are a few other stores around here that sell similar tortillas in smaller packages so I usually buy those. LOVE them for quesadillas, plain, rolled up with a little butter cinnamon and sugar... so good.

Um, yum. Can't wait to go find them at Costco! Apparently, I'm behind the times also, never seen these tortillas.

Those look really good. I've always been partial to the Trader Joe's handmade flour tortillas (yum), but maybe I'll try these.

I just ate this for lunch. A friend told us about these so we buy about 20 bags every time we are in the U.S. and freeze them. YUMMY!

We are huge Quesadilla fans. Yummy looking food. I think you should seriously consider a cookbook. Publish it on snapfish or something, you have some awesome recipies with pictures. I'll buy one.
