American Idol Finale

David Cook won!! I'd like to think that my meager 30 votes helped out (you know, since he won by a margin of 12 million).
But even MORE importantly...um, George Michael live?! I liked the AI kids medly tribute and I love the song that GM performed. I made a video to it in college.
Interesting evening.
Glad we can all calm down till January rolls around again.

Ahhh, I hadn't watched the end yet, you totally ruined it for me. Ryan knew who won but I worked late so I told him not to tell me and then I log on to my google reader and... Actually, it was funny because it was like the Seinfield when Jerry doesn't want to know who won and Kramer walks in and blabs the end.

I was so happy about that outcome. I just couldn't handle the cheese dripping from Archuleta's little fangs anymore. Not that he won't have a booming career ahead of him - I foresee swarms of budding tweens...

Aaron was in the spare room/office putting together the new day-bed (Happy Mother's Day and Birthday to me!) while I was watching the final, and when GM mentioned San Diego, I said, "Hey -- that's the show Dan and Camille are going to!"

So yeah, you have been though of. =)

I'm surprised, but not upset that Cook won. I thought for sure Archuleta would take it. I wonder though, if Cook will be happy being bound to AI for a year or two...?

I've totally wondered the same thing about David Cook. The entire season he seemed like a good sport going along with their silly Idol games. But I'm not sure his label is really his style. But hey, it's made him famous, so he can't complain!

and I'm glad you thought of me with GM. Yes, the San Diego show is the one we'll be at! I had no idea it was the first of the tour! I hope that means he'll be fresh and excited to perform (rather than sound check/lighting mishpas)

George Michael is so sweet, I love him! Did you all notice he said he had a cold? He still was brilliant...
