I can't resist ruffles

For the most part, I'm pretty good at going to the mall and resisting the need to buy (unless it's just a total steal). Lucy and I often go to the mall to play on the toys, wander through stores and check out the latest trends (gathering ideas for all those sewing projects I'll never get to). But for some reason I just can't say No to a ruffled skirt, especially when it's only $7 at H&M:
And thus, there was no Flashback Friday this week. Lucy, Owen, and I literally spent our entire Friday out shopping. First we met Doris and her kids at the Burbank mall and played on the toys. Next we went to IKEA to browse and climb on all their toddler beds. Then to Steve and Barry's where I got a cute SJP Bitten dress for only $9 (regular price?!). And then we may as well top it off with a stop at the Glendale Galleria. The Baby Style there is going out of business, so everything was 50% off and even more fun...we ran into Laura, Rebecca, and Natalie stocking up as well. I guess I also can't say No to killer sales and dainty smocked tops. We got Lucy a couple of those. And lastly, went to the new Americana (like the Grove, but in Glendale) and this is where I found the cutest ruffled Lucy skirts. We bought two of them! Green and Brown. $7 each? I can't even make one for that price. Now I'm on the search for a cute shirt to go along.
We left the house at 9am and were home by 7pm! What a fun-filled (and slightly tiring) day.

So cute! I got Alice a brown ruffled skirt! And thanks for the tip on Baby Style going out of business! I was there on Friday, too. I stocked up on Robeez. Loved the sale, and sorry I missed you!

I love H&M! Went for the first time in Vegas a few weeks ago and just heard it was at the Americana in Glendale. My good friend lives close by and told me it's open! Can't wait to go on my next trip down!

Happy Mothers Day, btw!
