You say it's your birthday...

...It's my birthday too, yeah.
Growing up, my mom and her dad always celebrated their birthdays together since it fell on the same day. And they always played the token Beatles song to go along with the party. But now she has a new birthday buddy, Jeremy! His birthday is the week before hers. So last night we celebrated with both of them. We ate yummy pot roast, played games, blew bubbles, ran around outside, watched Star Wars, and feasted on chocolate cake and rhubarb pie. Yummmm.
Here are the birthday kids:
Owen's first time on the bean bag:
Meredith looks like she's roller-skiing when she does this:
It's hard to tell in this picture but Lucy's actually off the ground, engaged in her typical jumping:Monkey in the Middle (or Keep Away?):
We gave Jeremy some Gymboree bubbles for his birthday and Camille filled the room with them!
I wish I knew the conversation that went along with these pictures, but I'm sure it was something like, "wow, bubbles are so cute. Ohhhh, catch it Bryan! Catch it!"Owen participated in bubble-appreciation with the boys:
Gram didn't want Jeremy germs on the cake....
The whole group....with each person's spouse standing by a different person. It's like a fun game. Who goes with who??Lucy took the ribbon from Jeremy's present and wore it on her head for an hour:
For some reason, it reminded me of this guy...
Pain, does not exist, in this dojo, does it? NO SENSEI

Little Ava and Lucy watching a DVD in the garage:
To finish off the night, we played a few rounds of Rummikub. Meredith never laid down tiles the entire round! We couldn't believe it, so Eric and Casey assessed the situation:
"oh, I totally could have put something down!"
Casey and Owen were disappointed.
Fun Sunday night birthday celebration. Can't wait for Jeremy's Indiana Jones party on Saturday. He sure knows how to live it up.....party for weeks!

You must have the fastest internet connection around - waiting for all of these pictures to upload would have taken me a week! I have no idea what gymboree bubbles are - I must find out when we are next in the states...

You are so funny. I am happy to have your blog address now. Teresa gave it to me and told me to keep tabs. So happy I listened to her.
